The founder of Savannah, James Oglethorpe put many ideals in place which can still be seen in Savannah today, including the idea behind the Squares in Savannah.
Our Savannah History Tour starts in the center of Johnson Square. Johnson Square is easy to find, only about 1 block from the river, on Bull Street, between Bryan and Congress streets. Once you arrive in Johnson Square you will find your tour guide at the large monument in the center of Johnson Square.
You can easily walk to the starting location in just a few minutes, from anywhere within the Historic District. You'll find that in Savannah, ride sharing options like Uber or Lyft to be great options to get around. We highly discourage you from trying to drive directly to Johnson Square. While there are parking garages in the area, parking can be problematic.
If you are running late or need directions please call our office at 855-255-5598 .
